SADAKA network team went to Aga Khan hospital to visit victims of domestic violence and home accidents after their surgeries and during their bandaging stage as part of “Put a smile back on their faces” initiative to cheer them up and give them “Vaseline” Skin Creams to ease their recovery, which was donated by Unilever Tanzania.

SADAKA network’s team together with doctors from the Aga Khan hospital, Muhimbili hospital and MAI consultancy, carried out a press conference to share information concerning the ongoing project of "Put a smile back on their face initiative" which aims to conduct reconstructive surgeries to women and children who are victims of gender-based violence and burn accidents that have left them with scars and disabilities.

It was on 27th July 2019 when TOT Bonanza was carried out at Posta Grounds Kijitonyama which began as early as 6:00 am with a marathon. Few people made it that early, but majority flowed in later at 10:00 am It was incredibly amazing since many people participated some as entrepreneurs others as players and others who cheered and people got exposed to new things and made new friends,SADAKA Network team was also there . Everything about it was incredibly amazing.

It was on 13th July 2019 when we (SADAKA network) team went to Aga Khan hospital, ready to carry out the project “Put a smile back on their faces” on victims who have suffered from fire accidents and gender-based violence.
We were pleased that a majority of the victims showed up for the screening, adults and children, from different places. As a team, we cooperated with doctors from the Aga Khan and Muhimbili hospitals, all of us together in attending to the victims.

As part of the program we decided to visit the Kisarawe region so that we could do a screening camp and look for women and kids with scars and disability that is from accidents, fire accidents and even those that are affected from gender- based violence.

Books are knowledge and knowledge is power, imagine if every child had available access to books in Africa, in any subject they desire, where they can learn and expand their imagination every time they go to school on top of their daily class subjects.
In the beginning of May 2019 SADAKA network received a donation of 250 English books in several subjects from the Embassy of Israel, Nairobi as they are one of our donors for community projects in Africa.

Umra Orphanage initiative

Last December we took the initiative to understand the orphanages and how they operate in the country. We wanted to see firsthand the situation of the orphans and the conditions of the homes they were living in.
