HOW DO I KNOW THAT SADAKA NETWORK NGO IS A LEGITIMATE ORGANIZATION?
SADAKA network NGO is registered in Tanzania under the Ministry of health by the name of SADAKA STEPSTONE FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT (SSCI), registration number 00NGO/0009458. SADAKA network NGO is operating and supporting projects of registered religious leaders and organization in Tanzania. WHO IS A “SADAKA NETWORK ANGEL”?
SADAKA network Angel is a Volunteer under SADAKA network NGO who come to volunteer with the purpose of donating his time, skills and energy to create or support existing projects and communities under religious organizations in Tanzania. Every religious organization supported by SADAKA network NGO has community projects and as a SADAKA network Angel you will be involve in volunteering alongside those local communities and other international SADAKA network Angels who are working towards a common goal, supporting some long-term social or environmental objectives of your host community.
WHY BECOME AN ANGEL IN TANZANIA?
We at SADAKA network NGO believe in traveling with purpose and our programs are for people who want to create projects and make a difference through immersive volunteer travel opportunities and cross-cultural learning. As an international SADAKA network Angel, you will open your mind to new perspectives and ways of operating through the local communities in rural and urban areas in Tanzania. Tanzania is a cultural mix between costal, Swahili cultures and tribes, surrounded by good lands, mountains, islands, minerals, unique nature, tribes and communities who are looking for a better chance to use and utilize all those goods to improve their lives. Tanzania is a country that has a lot of potential of meaningful and life changing opportunities for all parties, by supporting the local communities and at the same time learning new cultures, the famous Swahili language and being part of management programs among the available projects under SADAKA network NGO in Tanzania.
HOW DOES IT WORK AND WHAT TYPE OF ANGEL POSITIONS CAN I TAKE FART OF?
We at SADAKA network NGO believe in creating a sustainable impact with Angles who come to create and sustain local communities.
SADAKA network Angles program offering 2 options:
  1. Angel creator - they come to create their own projects under their agenda with the support of SADAKA network NGO
  2. Angel supporter - they are joining an existing project that was created by Angel creator as part of SADAKA network NGO
Our goal is to create sustainable impact by supporting Angels who create projects that can sustain itself in the long run. SADAKA network NGO’s system will support this projects by providing:
  1. Office space, permits and accommodation
  2. Recruitment platform for Angels, local volunteers and organizations
  3. Online data, media and reporting tools for projects and a donation transactions platform for Angels and donors

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO VOLUNTEER in TANZANIA under sadaka network NGO?
Requirements vary from project to project, however for the majority of projects, the requirements are Basic English a clean criminal background, valid yellow fever document and a willingness to learn and experience. Please note that for our Medical and Healthcare projects, Angels must be qualified or trained in a relevant medical field and documentation to confirm this must be sent by email at the online submission stage and be presented to our local team on arrival at orientation for confirmation.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend applying as soon as you know what project you are interested in joining or creating.
This helps to ensure that you can secure your place on the project of your choice and to understand viability to your own project before you start.
WHAT DOES SADAKA NETWORK PROVIDES TO THEIR ANGELS WHO COME TO VOLUNTEER?
  1. Accommodation:
    • Angels on arrival will be staying in a modern 3 rooms apartments where each Angel will have his own room
    • Wifi
    • 2 meals a day breakfast and dinner (options for vegetarian and vegan food. Please notify during registration process)
    • Every apartment will have a house helper to clean, do dishes, wash cloths and cook
  2. Shared office space:
    • Angels will be having a shared office space for daily work tasks and for permits and registration purposes
    • Wi-Fi
    • Kitchen
    • Private desk
    • Boardroom
    • Local office address and local residential address (a requirement for operations in Tanzania).
    • Assistance to get volunteer’s visa permit.
    • Providing information and support from our local team on a wide variety of issues and topics.
    • Assistance with supervision, management and maintaining of projects/ activities while the Angels are temporarily out of Tanzania
    • Assistance with government & non-government entities in Tanzania.
HOW CAN SADAKA NETWORK ONLINE SYSTEM ASSIST AN ANGEL”:
  • Angels will have access to our online system which will provide them transparent financial transactions platform from within Tanzania (credit cards & local Mobile banking)
  • Promotional support via our website to promote content and campaigns (both in English and Swahili) in Tanzania.
  • Access to SADAKA network database to locate needs of communities in order to support Angel’s goals and agendas
  • Assistance with organizing seminars, workshops, exhibitions and fairs
  • Assistance with fund raising via SADAKA network Online system (locally & internationally).
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I GET SICK?
Before traveling to Tanzania or any other African countries, please make sure that you consult with your family doctor for any medical procedures that you have to go through before coming (Yellow fever vaccination is a must in Tanzania). You need to make sure you are equipped with the proper insurance coverage
Once you are in Tanzania we will make sure that all Angels will have access to hospitals and clinics in their area.
IS IT SAFE IN TANZANIA?
Tanzania is relevantly a safe country.
You will be briefed by our local teams how to behave or not behave in order to avoid unwanted situations on cultural or safety clashes.
Tanzania has a warm and welcoming culture with good local food, music and fashion. It is all available for you to explore and enjoy.
HOW CAN I BE CONTACTED IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY? 
You can be reached in case of an emergency through SADAKA network NGO offices, E-mail is readily available in Tanzania, and through regular contact with your friends and family can also take place through cell phones, internet and postal mail.
HOW CAN I CONTACT HOME? 
Cell phones in Tanzania operate using SIM cards. Your phone will work as long as it has a local SIM card. Once in-country, you can purchase an inexpensive SIM card with airtime and internet package which allows you to make and receive international calls and using internet as you do back home.
ARE THERE ATM MACHINES AVAILABLE? 
ATM machines are available in all big cities in Tanzania and surrounding big areas as well. Most accepted international ATM cards are “VISA Card” and “Master Card” although it’s not that common to pay with credit cards for goods and services
WHAT IF I HAVE ONLY FOREIGNER MONEY IN CASH? 
Bureau de change is available in all big cities in Tanzania and surrounding big areas as well.
Most of them has approximately the same rates but make sure you check the rate and calculate the amount you should receive for your foreigner money and remember to count the money before leaving the bureau.
Please note, not to change money with random people on the street who offer these kinds of services.
DOES SADAKA NETWORK NGO HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION?
SADAKA network NGO supporting all religious communities and their community projects in Tanzania.
In Tanzania, religion takes a very important role in people’s daily life, as for SADAKA network NGO decided to focus on religious organization’s communities by unifying and developing projects with the support of religious leader to uplift and develop the population of Tanzania as one.
WILL I BE ABLE TO JOIN THE PROJECT WITH A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?
Yes, we encourage participants to come with a friend or spouse to create or be involve in existing projects.
You can bring a family member for a month for approximately half the price after you are in Tanzania.
CAN WE VOLUNTEER AS A FAMILY?
Yes, we can accommodate families on our Angel programs and our local team can make arrangements to ensure you are accommodated and placed on your or an existed project together.
CAN WE BE ANGELS AS A GROUP OF STUDENTS, COLLEAGUES OR FRIENDS?
Yes, SADAKA network NGO hosts university groups, school groups, youth groups and corporate teams on our Angel’s projects. We offer a range of options for group Angels and specialize in creating customized itineraries that provide a safe environment for group members to develop and challenge themselves. We achieve this through providing impactful Angel programs that foster cross-cultural understanding and make a positive contribution to community projects.
WHAT KINDS OF GIFTS SHOULD I BRING? 
You may wish to bring supplies to share with the partner angels that you are placed with. For example, if working with children, non-toxic art and school supplies and used (clean) children’s clothing are appreciated and should be provided, Children should never be given sweets as it creates teeth problems which they have no money to treat.
HOW CAN I FUNDRAISE FOR A PROJECT UNDER SADAKA network NGO?
SADAKA network NGO provides you an online system where you can upload content of your own regarding your specific project as a fundraising tool.
With SADAKA network System you will be able to upload your content to promote your project via videos, pictures, articles, stages of the project, current and future plans and get co-operation from other Angels and project for acceptance and support.
SADAKA online System will allow you to fundraise from the local communities who are able and want to help but not necessary know how.
WHAT IS “SADAKA NETWORK ONLINE SYSTEM”?
SADAKA network Online System is a database platform for reports, campaigns, fundraising, content and management tool for SADAKA network Angels. Through this system Angels will be able to create a profile for their projects and fundraise from the local Tanzanian communities. Once an Angle receives his SADAKA network System account, immediately he will access a huge database of religious leaders, organizations and their community members in order to be supported by them all. Once uploading all the content regarding the project (articles, videos, pictures, interviews, financial plan, e.c.t…) the Angel can now promote his project to donors and organizations abroad and in Tanzania. SADAKA network Online System includes:
  • Fundraising platform with ability to upload media content and donations chart reports.
  • Financial management and report platform for maximum efficiency transparency.
  • SMS and email campaign platform to create awareness among donors and community members in Tanzania
  • All of this and more will allow Angels easier way to promote, support and establish their goals and creations.
HOW LONG DO I NEED TO COMITT AS AN ANGEL AT SADAKA network NGO?
We are focused on making a real change in people’s lives where it requires a minimum term of 3 months and you can add more months once you understand and experience the impact that you created.
CAN I EXTEND MY SERVICE IF I DECIDE I WOULD LIKE TO STAY LONGER? 
Angels who feel that they are just getting into the swing of things as their project is ending and wish that they had signed up to stay for a longer period of time than originally intended. It is possible to extend your stay by creating another project, stay at the current one or join other projects for extra MONTHS.
We at SADAKA network NGO feel that the more time you are able to devote to your project; the greater impact you will have on the local community. We welcome you to participate for as long as you are able!
WILL I HAVE TIME TO TRAVEL? 
We believe that part of the volunteering experience is to explore the land, culture and stories that Tanzania has to offer.
However, projects are dynamic and different from each other in planning, time and deadlines. Angels will have to plan their time in order not to affect their projects and be able to meet commitments.
Tanzania is a big country and has a lot of places to visit, we suggest to focus on short strips during the projects and a longer travels as Angels finish their term in order not to miss anything.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS IN TANZANIA? 
Tanzania is an amazing country, blessed with beautiful islands, gorgeous safaris, good foods, music and pure Swahili cultures. The main and most touristic attraction are:
  1. Climbing mountain “Kilimanjaro”- the highest mountain in Africa (5895m)
  2. Visiting Tanzanian’s National parks (Safaris)- Tanzania considered to be the capital of national parks of Africa. There are about 5 main national parks in Tanzania;
    • Ngorongoro
    • Serengeti
    • Tarangire
    • Selous
    • Ruaha
  3. Vacations in Zanzibar Island- Zanzibar is the famous island of Tanzania with white sands, torque waters and rich spices trade history.
WHICH VACCINATIONS WILL I REQUIRE?
The vaccinations you require will depend on which vaccinations you have had previously, the only vaccination legally required in some countries including Tanzania is Yellow Fever.
Please make sure to visit your family doctor who will guide you through the necessary medical checks for your travels.
DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK THE LOCAL LANGUAGE?
Angels are generally only required to speak English to be able to communicate with locals.
Some of our Angels pick up the local language and its definitely helps them with their daily tasks, however we will have our local team from SADAKA network NGO to assist you with any language barriers.
